Hi, I’m Turk. I’ve spent the last 24 years working as a State Law Enforcement Officer, and for more than 20 of those years, I’ve also been a TCOLE instructor. Teaching has become one of the most rewarding parts of my career, and I’m proud to bring that experience to this platform.

Over the years, I’ve taught a wide range of intermediate and advanced courses—everything from Crime Scene Investigation and Search and Seizure to Use of Force, New Supervisor, and even Spanish for Law Enforcement. I’ve always believed that good training should be practical, clear, and immediately useful, and that’s the approach I bring to every class.

Several years ago, I created the course Interactions with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals. The course eventually became mandatory training for all Texas police officers. Helping officers communicate more effectively—and respectfully—with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community has been one of the most meaningful projects of my career. I’m excited to offer a 4‑hour version of that course here, along with my Detection of Deception in Statements class and others.
